Go buy some Rogaine. Or have your doctor prescribe you "Propecia." They don't grow much, but those are the only products that work even a little bit.
A prescription calle Propecia or Rogaine which is now sold over the counter. Make sure you take in plenty of protein and calcium to help grow healthy hair. Also put some unflavored knox gelitan into any drink and have a glass a day. It also aids in growing healthy, thick hair. Well quit shaving, and I have heard that it is a myth that shaving will increase the amount of hairs that grow in, maybe it will help with the thickness of the hair that was shaved. But don't worry about it, it will happen and then you will have to deal with it everyday. So just let it happen because there is just too much to worry about in life to spend your energy worrying about getting a beard. Relax you will be old before you know it!
Other than not shaving you can always stop by a costume shop and pick up a beard.

it depends on your background i think. im italian and 16, i pretty much have a full beard other than a few bald spots (its not funny) lol. its kinda thin but its still a beard. most of my friends dont really have facial hair or just some peach fuzz. i think beards grow more when your older like 18-21 .

I do a mix of Pilates and crunches about 2-3x a week and get a 40 minute cardio whenever I walk home from work Mon-Fri (plus the bus takes too long and I'm impatient, too! LOL) I already have an active job, but I still work out other parts of my body with weights. Eat moderately. Get enough sleep. Although I'm naturally short and stocky, I sometimes can tell if people are impressed by my physique. (ie. women at work say hello to me a lot more, female strangers would smile at me when I walk past them. Plus at a doctor's visit, a nurse asked me if I workout after she asked me to take my shirt off, etc)
Well you can do stomach crunches while watching tv or listening to music. But dont eat anything while you are doing your stomach crunches because that would defeat the purpose.

The best way is to wear losse clothings and after shower you must dry everything well and then put a powder. Also you need to change up the underswears a lot to keep the area sparkling clean and fresh. Never wear tight wool jock strap or other binding and restriction intimates otherwise you get a bad rash and it will itch like a flea bite or a deadly mosquito.

Do not shave them too short.
Removing them is easy:Heat a needle so it is clean:penetrate the skin next to the hair and pull it out:then with tweezers pull the whole hair out.

Use tweezers. You need to get the whole hair out all the way down to it's root.
Leave the hair for a few days first. This will give it time to grow a bit under the skin, meaning its a lot easier to get out.

Sterilise a needle using TCP or hot water or something, then pierce the skin next to the hair. With practice or luck you will be able to get the hair out of the skin. What I do then is leave it a day or 2 as the area you've just prodded with a needle may well develop a little scab. Once the skin has healed, then tweezer the hair out. If you tweezer it out right away, the scab will form over the pore so the next hair that grows out will also be trapped under your skin. That is why I suggest delaying the tweezing!!
You could try growing a beard. The longer hairs will not ingrow.

Lots of people have a six pack which is covered by a layer of fat. No amount of sit-ups or crunches will reveal the six pack unless you loose the belly fat. Kick up your cardio workouts. You have to raise your heart rate and get a good sweat going to blast the belly fat. Continue with a routine of ab exercises such as crunches and leg raises. Don't forget to work the obliques (side abdominals). Also Avoid food which is high in fat. Eat lots of lean protein such as chicken and tuna. It takes time but the belly fat will melt away to reveal your abs.
keep doing sit ups. and do them on the sides too. it helps a lot.

oh and dont eat junk
The only way to get a really visual 6-pack is nutrition. Eating just protein and vegetables and salads will help. You have to be very disciplined in your diet and not eat any junk or bread products. Its what the nutrition world calls eating clean.
I had the same problem, originally. You do have muscle, but there is probably still some fat around your abdominal area. Do more sit-ups and crunches, and I would also suggest jogging. If your problem persists, check out a personal trainer! Just one session will give you enough information to know how to fix it. Avoiding sweets couldn't hurt either.
Cardio Cardio Cardio! Do as much cardio as you can possibly stand, then when you're done, do as many different abdominal excercises as you can stand. The trick is to not only build your abdominal muscles to make them bigger, but also burn more fat. Yes, I know you're not fat, but when you already have a 6-pack, the slightest most minuscule amount of sub-q fat can make a world of difference..
Diet! Eating right is the only way. The guys that you see in magazines look like that because they "diet down" before a shoot. They basically starve their bodies of carbs and take off all of the fat stores, they also do a ton of cardio on top of the lifting. It is a grueling routine and very unhealthy if undertaken for long periods of time.
If you just want to see a healthy six pack clean your diet by reducing the refined sugars in your diet and upping the cardio a little to shed the fat.

How do I get my pectorals to be more flat?

I bench once or twice a week and am pretty happy with the results except that my chest is still a little poofy and sticks out more than I would like it to. Is it something to do with my form? I normally do flat bench press, incline press, decline press and butterflies as part of my normal routine. I've even tried doing many more pushups and dips to see if thsoe would help but my chest still remains very poofy/sticking out. Does anyone ahve any suggestions to make my pectorals more compact and less puffy? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

You may have a mild form of gynaecomastia or high cortisol level. No amount of training will get rid of the puffyness if you have either of these. Go see a doctor to get this checked out and treated. Keep working your chest hard and use the extra padding to make your chest look even bigger. I store a little extra fat on my pecs even though I weight train daily. My chest is pretty solid and looks much bigger and stronger than my flat chest mates. Use it to your advantage.
Those same excercises, done with wide grips/hand positions, is the answer! It sounds like your form or position is the culprit... Try the same this new way, you already have the strength, but if you add the wide grips/arms motions, you will more completely activate the entire pectoralis muscles, which will more completely build the chest- both puffy and wide. How do I get my dad to quit smoking?

My mom quit smoking with no help about three or four years ago, but my dad still smokes. He really wants to quit, but he just can't. And I also know that he has to want to quit and be determined to quit...and he is...he just can't. He is 47 years old, if that helps. Do you have any ideas? I'm really worried for him.

Tell him to take white plastic drinking straws (the size of McDonalds), cut to the length of a cigarette, stuff with cotton from a cotton ball, and then place one in each clean ashtray. Then he can puff away on those. It feels good. It only takes 3 days to get the nicotine out of his body, then he has to break the enjoyment of smoking. Good luck.

There's a new medication called Chantix that helps with controlling nicotine cravings. It's expensive, but some insurance companies will pay for it, as it has about a 40 percent success rate. There are special gums/patches sold to lower the urge for the nicotine in the cigarette. Your father should be able to get it from your area's pharmacy or through doctor's prescription.

Or if he is really able to do it without those patches or gums, decrease the quantity of cigarettes smoked over time.
Make him watch the " Why do you think" anti-smoking commercials.
Ultimately it has to be his choice. Quitting smoking is very difficult, so be understanding and patient with him. My best advise is to sit him down and tell him how much it would mean to you for him to quite smoking, that you love him and your worried about his health and you want him to around for a while (your wedding, future grand kids, etc). Also, you give him so ideas of how to quite, like the patch, gum, and hypnosis. Good luck!

There is a book called Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking. I t seems simplistic but it addresses the rooot of it all. I still smoke as I read it but for the first time in my life.I look forward to quitting. Give it to him for Father's Day and support him as he reads it. And don't talk down to him while he is going through the process. Support, not lectures is what he needs.
Write a uleogy for him. Read it to him. I have heard this being done, and people have been so touched and scared, they quit for good.

The thing is, you really can't make someone quit doing anything unless they want to, especially if they are addicted to that particular thing. To be successful requires personal desire, willpower and effort. If the person isn't 100% ready to give up the habit it will be nearly impossible for them to do so - or for you to get them to do so.

That said, you can compassionately express to your father that you worry for his health and you want him to be around in the years to come. Don't present too much pressure or chide him though, because he might get defensive and feel like he's just being nagged.

If he does want to quit you can help him by encouraging him, helping him to get rid of items in the home which remind him of smoking (ash trays, matches, lighters,) and other things. Buy him substitutes like candies, peppermints, gum, toothpicks. Find some activity he might enjoy that requires working with his hands - smoking is very much a way to occupy the hands and mouth... if you keep them busy with other things the desire isn't so bad.

Staying busy in general helps. Exercising, being outside, and otherwise being physically active tends to reduce that feeling of needing a smoke.

If he can't quit cold turkey, you can try to encourage him to cut down. Make goals. If he smokes a pack a day now, try to get him to agree to smoke only 15 cigarettes for the next couple of days. Then maybe just 12 a day. Keep reducing in small incriments every couple of days, before going completely off the habit.

It could be harder if he drinks alcohol or coffee, because those items tend to lend themselves to going along with a smoke. I know when I quit smoking it was very hard when it came to my morning and evening coffee because I had always had a smoke with them. I finally quit drinking the coffee too and it helped break that desire.

Those are all just some tips. But in the end, he can only do it if he really wants to. You can just be there to help and encourage him if he needs it. Good luck!

It has got to be one of the hardest things to do, and the fact that cigarettes are available everywhere make it so much worse. Here is what I had to go through, and although I won the battle, the war is not over, there is always a temptation.
1) Lots of Vitamin C
2) Get rid of all smoking related items in the house
3) Make a pact, if he quits, you could maybe give up a vice of your own
4) Pray
5) use patches or gums as a last resort, since they provide nicotine
6) make sure he stays active, keep him busy so not to relax and have a smoke. I had to give up my morning coffee, that was my weak moment.

The best way for anyone to quit and not be craving for a cigarette ever after is to be shamed into it. This happened to me accidentally 20 years ago and I have never wanted to smoke again since. If you try it by will power alone the craving will be there continuously.
After I had quit for about 10 years I heard a Tony Robbins seminar in which he basically used the same method of shaming smokers.

You take a regular cigarette and light the end as you would to smoke, and then put it out by smashing it against something flat.

Then take a straw and cut it to the size of a cigarette (like someone above said) and stuff one end with cotton, tissues or whatever.

Dump some burned tobacco out of the end of the cigarette you lit and put out. Take that burned tobacco and put it in the straw.

That way there will be burned tobacco in the middle of the straw with cotton at each end containing it.

When he takes a drag, it will taste like a cigarette, but there will be no nicotine to keep him addicted.

Eat the opposite of junk food. Tuna fish food high in protein cut out the sugar and starchy food NO MORE CIGS THEY ARE CHILDISH. Honest mate I was in the same boat as you. I am now fitter at 41 years old than what I was when I was 29. NO BULL.
Work out with dum/bar bells, run don't eat crap and eat protien and carbohydrates !!!! should take 2 weeks to see some nice results.

You have a PC, obviously, so, go to exrx.net and you'll see the various work out moves you can do with/without weights.
Try doing hand stand pushups. There's lots you can do without weights but by only using your body weight. I work out at home and use dumbbells and body weight.
I can do 50 push ups and I am female, but I had to work up to that. I have the pecs behind the boobs to show for it and the delts/lats/triceps/biceps and a little of the forearms, too. Do reverse body push ups where you're working your triceps. You can find it on that website I wrote out for you. Also, stand against a wall and spread your legs apart and go into a seated position and hold for a minute. Nice burn working your quads, hams, and hips. Calf muscles are stubborn and no amount of walking will build them. You have to do calf raises: 5 sets of 30 reps or more. Calf muscles are fibrous and are very very stubborn. You can have wimpy thighs and good calves and your legs'll look good, but if you have nice thighs and wimpy calves, forget it, your leg'll look wimpy all around.
Go for a nice swim, run, bicycling. Not only will you lose massive amounts of calories, but you'll get toned in the process, that is, if you're not totally confined to your room. Hoist yourself up on a tree branch or install a bar in your door way and do pull ups..great burn and works out your upper half. Don't forget the crunches. Hold them for a few seconds in the middle of the crunches and squeeze your abs in the process. You'll really feel a nice burn. There are hundreds of exercises you can do and without your 5 pounders. Just remember proper form and to connect mind with muscle AKA concentrating while training. You cannot talk on your cell and work out, you'll waist your workout time and won't see results. You cannot fool mother nature.

to build muscle and bulk up you want to lift weights but be sure to keep the amount of repetitions you do between 6-8 per set and do 3-4 sets per muscle group. By the time you get to the last reps of each set and especially the last set, you want the reps to be "challenging"and the muscle group to be fatigued... If you are able to do all your sets/reps for a certain exercise i.e. benchpress, then on the next workout add 5 pounds to the previous weight you used. but if you are just starting out, go slowly.. even if you are able to get all your sets/reps for a certain exercise, stay there for a few workouts before increasing so that your muscles get used to being "worked out".. increasing the weight too fast and using bad exercise form can lead to muscle tears or injury (this happened to me). Also be sure to give at least one days rest in between working the same muscle groups. I used to work out my upper body M-W-F and my legs T-Th-Sa. Finally make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet and maybe most importantly, enough sleep. As you make gains in strength, your muscles will begin to grow to handle the increased poundages.. To do more than 6-8 reps per set will generally lead to toning / conditioning and not size/strength.. Hope this helps...


Not entirely true Dave... for most people today (exception - professional bodybuilders or people with extremely high metabolisms), eating 1.5X calories will only bulk a person up around the midsection. Many (most?) people can REDUCE their caloric intake and put on a lot of muscle and lose fat simply by cutting out fatty/fried/salty foods and eating healthier foods.
Everyone forgets the major step when trying to bulk up..eating. You have to eat a lot in order to get bigger. I don't care how much time you spend in the gym if you're not eating correctly you will never get any bigger. You have to eat 1.5x the normal amount of calories every day. The meals should be high in protein. As for working out you want to do less reps and heavier weight. You should be doing 4 sets of 8 reps. The source I posted goes more into detail but that's a starting point for you.

If you can't do 50 pushups without stopping and do them fairly fast I would start with that. It build a lot of muscle with little chance of injury...when you can do 50 in a row without a problem, start the weight lifting regimen.

From one born with much body hair. I have tried all methods. I strongly recommend not shaving, stubble would be more unattractive than the hair itself. Waxing lasts up to 2 weeks. It becomes less painful as you become accustomed to it.

Well, im doing the same thing, and ive lost 3-5 pounds a week. Ive been following a schedule that can help you lose 20 pounds in 30 days. It actually works, you just gotta do it! Most people don't succeed becaujse they give up. But here is a schedule for a male.
